Teens for Jeans - Organized by BTHS Do Something Club
The BTHS Do Something Club is partnering up with H.O.P.E., BETA, Help the Homeless, Key Club, NHS, Outreach and Red Cross for Teens for Jeans.
The issue at hand is that over a million young people experience homelessness in the U.S. every year. One item they often ask for is a pair of jeans. You can help them by simply donating a pair of gently-used jeans!
Jean collection will begin Tuesday, February 2nd and end Friday, February 26th. Donations should be placed in a plastic bag with an index card that has your name, OSIS #, and the list of participating clubs that you're in. You can bring your donations to room 7C1.
The following is the list of participating clubs and their point systems:
- H.O.P.E. - 10 points per pair // 20 points maximum
- BETA - 5 points per pair // 20 points maximum
- BTHS Do Something - 10 points per pair // 40 points maximum
- Help the Homeless - 5 points per pair // 10 points maximum
- Key Club - 10 points per pair // 30 points maximum
- NHS - 5 points per pair // 20 points maximum
- Outreach - 10 points per pair // 30 points maximum
- Red Cross - 10 points per pair // 30 points maximum
Feel free to ask your friends, family, neighbors or anyone for help! The school that collects the most jeans will get $3,000 and an additional $500 for a party. Start collecting!
