We will be ending October WITH A HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL!!

The Puppetry Arts Theater Inc. will be hosting a Haunted Halloween Carnival to celebrate one of the spookiest holidays of the year! Some of our jobs include setting up, preparing trick or treat bags, and maintaining various activities. We will also be giving an additional 10 points to those who wear halloween costumes!!

Bike Ms NYC

Hey guys, 

The National MS Society - Southern NY Chapter will be hosting the Bike MS, a fundraising event dedicated to finding cures for Multiple Sclerosis. Multiple Sclerosis is a deadly chronic disease that primarily affects the organs in the central nervous system such as the brains, spinal cord, and optic nerve. We will be working as event support. Some of our tasks include assisting with event information, food & beverages, t-shirts, and more.

Friends of Corlears Hook Park Annual It’s My Park Fall Clean-Up!

Hey guys,

We will be working with the Friends of Corlears Hook Park at their annual It’s My Park Fall Clean-Up! We will be helping them beautify the park by planting daffodil bulbs, weeding, and raking leaves. They will provide the necessary garden tools and snacks for us but be sure to wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty!

*Take the J, M, F trains or the M21, M22 and M14A buses to reach the park. It is located just south of the Williamsburg Bridge at the corner of Jackson and Cherry Streets.*

Breast Cancer Awareness Week

Hello everyone, 
During the week of October 17th, Relay for Life will be selling ribbons for $1 during lunch periods 4 - 8 in the center section of the cafeteria for their Breast Cancer Awareness Week campaign. All money that is raised in this fundraiser will be donated to the American Cancer Society to help fund breast cancer research. To support their efforts, we will be giving out points to those who purchase these ribbons.

Be sure to record your name, OSIS, and the number of ribbons you have purchased on the paper that will be found on the table.

Points: Maximum 10 points (5 points per ribbon)

8th Annual Marco Polo Festival

The Two Bridge Neighborhood Council will be hosting their 8th Annual Marco Polo Festival to celebrate the special relationship between the Chinese and Italian American communities in the Chinatown & Little Italy Historic Districts. Volunteer tasks include setting up for the festival, carrying flags, banners, and puppets, and breaking everything down at the end of the festival.

We will be selling snacks and beverages at the Open House on October 17th and we need your help! (Woo hoo!) Please help by bringing in a few snacks and beverages. You have the opportunity to receive a maximum of 20 points!!

Here is a list of items you may bring and their point conversions:
- Box of Cookies (i.e. Oreos, Chips Ahoy, Chocolate Chip, 12 Count Mini Cookies, etc): 10 Points

Insane Inflatable 5K

Are you ready for our next event?
The Insane Inflatable 5K is a unique, fun, and challenging obstacle course made solely by inflatables! This year, they have partnered with the  American Cancer Society to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Volunteer tasks includes registration, start and finish line (providing runners with water, medals, t-shirts), course water stop (handing out water to runners), obstacle monitor and more!
P.S. Complimentary lunch, drinks and snacks will be provided!
