NYSoM July Hunger No More Event

Hi guys!

New York State of Mind (NYSoM)  is an organization that is dedicated to helping low-income communities through events and outreach programs! The NYSoM Hunger No More activity is a monthly homeless outreach program where volunteers pack and distribute meals as a group to the homeless. In this event, we will be packing and distributing care packages (sandwiches, water, and a snack) to the homeless in the Grand Central, Penn Station, and Port Authority area.
Date: Saturday, July 22nd, 2017

FABSCRAP Summer Event

Hi everyone!
As promised… H.O.P.E. has more summer events for you guys!
FABSCRAP is an organization that collects and recycles fabrics donated by design, fashion, and entertainment industries in New York City and they need 8 volunteers to help them sort their fabrics. In addition, volunteers will be required to lift around 20-30 pounds of fabric, so please keep that in mind before signing up.
All volunteers who help out will be allowed to keep any fabric that they like (so bring an extra bag!). ALSO, please make sure to wear comfortable shoes as you guys will be on your feet!
Date: Tuesday, July 25th, 2017
Time: 9 A.M.- 12 P.M.
Location: FABSCRAP Warehouse, 184-10 Jamaica Avenue, 4th Floor, Jamaica, NY 11423
(Please go up to the 4th floor and wait by the elevators; a H.O.P.E. executive will be waiting for you there and eventually, an official organizer will take you guys to the sorting area.)

RMA Annual Block Party Cancelled

Hi everyone,

Due to the large number of volunteers participating at the Rubin Museum of Art Annual Block Party, the RMA organizers have notified us that unfortunately some groups had to be cut. Therefore, the RMA Annual Block Party Event is CANCELLED.

(An additional reminder will be sent out to those of you who have signed up for the event)

BUT DON'T WORRY! There will be many more events throughout the summer!
