De-stress Baskets

5:44 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Who here knows about the college process? Well if there's one word to describe it, I'm sure that many of you would agree with me, when I say it's STRESSFUL. Well the truth is, not only are students stressed by the college process, guidance counselors have been working tirelessly trying to either perfect their recommendation letters for each student or assisting the student in the process itself or both. To give guidance counselors prop for all the hard work that they have done and in fact is still doing, we are deciding on making them gift baskets to help them de-stress. But we CAN'T do it without you! (Even if you're not going through the college process yet, it's only a matter of time, so don't hesitate to help out too) The following is a list of items we are putting into our "de-stress" gift baskets and their point values. 1. One mug (A basic coffee mug/cup will do the job) --- 5 POINTS 2. A box of at least 10 tea bags (All types of tea are welcome) --- 5 POINTS 3. A scented candle --- 5 POINTS 4. 2 stress relief balls--- 5 POINTS 5. At least 1 fluid oz of stress relief hand sanitizer -- 5 POINTS Through this event, not only are you able to show your appreciation for all of Tech's guidance counselors, you can also gain 10 WHOLE POINTS!!! Seeds in the Middle

10:27 PM Unknown 0 Comments

BUY A SNOWFLAKE TO SUPPORT ART CLASSES OR FUNDRAISE. Seeds in the Middle is an organization dedicated to building a community filled with not only affordable fresh food, exercise programs, but also art classes for students in school. In order for us to help them, we have decided to sell handmade snowflakes. Unlike ordinary paper snowflakes that are 2D the ones we are selling are 3D!! (That's a whole dimension awesome-er!!) By selling these snowflakes, not only are we promoting Seeds in the Middle's importance of having art programs in school, but also showing a great token to welcome the new year hopefully filled with more SNOW since we didn't get much snow in 2015!!

Snowflakes will be sold outside the auditorium tomorrow after the mandatory meeting and Friday, January 15th after 8th period until 3:40 P.M. outside room 7C1. We are selling snowflakes of two sizes. The small ones are $1 and are worth 2 points. The big ones are $2 and are worth 5 points. You can earn a maximum of 15 points for purchasing snowflakes.

In addition, to selling snowflakes, you can also fundraise as well. You can earn a maximum of 10 points for raising $5. Place the money and donation form (file attached) in an envelope labeled with your name, OSIS #, and H.O.P.E. You can either give this to an executive or bring it to Mrs. Nottingham in room 1W2. All money fundraised should be handed to us no later than 3:40 P.M. this Friday, January 15th.

You can earn up to 25 points if you buy snowflakes AND fundraise for Seeds in the Middle!
