Positivity Week

1:12 PM Unknown 1 Comments

HEY GUYS!!
POSITIVITY WEEK :) IS COMING UP!!
We understand how stressed and frustrated everyone is, ESPECIALLY before exam season. Come join H.O.P.E. in our mission to spread positivity and happiness around the school! From April 3rd to April 6th in the center section of the cafeteria outside room 7C1, we will be hosting fun activities that will hopefully make your day a little bit brighter. :)

Those who participate will receive a Positivity stamp card. Once you have finished completing an activity, an executive will give you a stamp. We will have one activity per day and each stamp will be worth a certain amount of points depending on the club(s) you are in. Check below for the point conversions!

Check out the following activities we will have throughout the week:

DAY 1 (MONDAY):
“LIFE IS WORTH LIVING”
We will be collaborating with the Orange Project, a suicide awareness campaign, to send words of encouragement and hope to those who may be suffering from a mental illness. Members will write messages of hope and encouragement on tags and hang them on a string in the cafeteria. Participants should write #WORTHLIVING on the bottom of their tag.

DAY 2  (TUESDAY):
“WHAT LIGHTS UP YOUR WORLD?”
Everyone has little things that make them smile, so what brightens your day? Small or big, come share what that thing is with the world. On our poster, participants will write the things that lights up their world and receive a glow stick in return. We will be giving out glowsticks to the first 75 people who complete the activity per period.

DAY 3 (WEDNESDAY):
“LET YOUR PROBLEMS FLY AWAY”
Whether you are a freshman, sophomore, junior, or a senior, we all have our load of problems. For one day, let’s forget them and enjoy the day as it is. Participants will write their concerns on a piece of paper, learn how to make an origami butterfly, and stick it on a poster. Let's have our problems fly away.

DAY 4 (THURSDAY):
“I WANT TO BE AND I CAN BE”
“I want to be strong.” “I want to be successful” So what do you want to be? Participants will receive a sticker and place it on the category they identify with the most. In doing so, they will see that these concerns and insecurities are not theirs alone and that someday, they will be able to turn the things that they want to be into things that they can be.
