The Youth Against Child Trafficking (Y-ACT) club is having an assembly tomorrow to teach the Tech student body about what child trafficking is, signs that someone is a victim, and more. H.O.P.E. will offer 10 points to those who attend this event.
It will take place tomorrow in the auditorium from 4 P.M. to 5 P.M.

Hi everyone!
H.O.P.E. is offering 20 points for those of you who volunteer for the upcoming Spring Parent Teacher Conferences. Please wear Brooklyn Tech merchandise if you are volunteering.
Sign-in: You will scan in at the SE section of the cafeteria at the time stated below.
At sign-in you will take an exit ticket that must be filled out and returned at the end of the event. After taking the ticket, please proceed to your job at the appropriate time.
Sign-out: In order to sign-out you must go to the northeast exit (first floor) and return your completed exit ticket to an executive. There is no scanning or checking from a list for sign-out. You must exit the building when you hand in your ticket.
Event Days and Timeframes:
You are expected to sign in at the SE section of the cafeteria and sign out at the NE exit in the first floor at the times listed below (you cannot sign in/sign out during the event timeframes stated here).
March 8: Evening Conferences
work time is from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM
March 9 : Afternoon Conferences
work time is from 12:30 PM to 2:50 PM
Jobs During the Event (you may only choose one)
A. Translators/Ushers
You will aid families in translating during meetings with teachers and possibly assist families in navigating the school. Additionally, you will act as ushers handing out essential papers to families.
B. Teacher's assistant
You will stay outside of your designated teacher's room and aid them in whatever they may need. Teachers tend to ask students to monitor parents and keep track of time per meeting.
C. Floaters
You will be positioned near elevators to answer any questions for parents, and in the cafeteria to aid execs during the event, or to fill in for missing teacher’s assistants.
Hi everyone!
H.O.P.E. is holding their *sweet* annual event, Treats for Teachers and we need your help!
For this event, we will be collecting candy donations, packaging them, and delivering them to all the teachers and staff of our school in order to show our appreciation for all that they do!
In order for this event to happen, we will be offering points for candy donations.
Collection dates- March 5th to March 8th.
Instructions- Please put at least 10 ounces of candy into a bag with a note that includes your name, OSIS #, and a list of the clubs you are in. Please drop off your bag of candy in Room 1w8, there will be a box there that says "Treats for Teachers".
ALL CANDY MUST BE PACKAGED. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT OPEN/LOOSE CANDY!
Points- 10 points per 10 ounce bag of candy. Maximum is 20 points.
We are also collaborating with KEY, BETA, and NHS for this event. See below to see how many points they are giving.

We will be volunteering at the NYCRUNS Central Park Half K this Sunday! At this event we will be setting up water stations, assisting with the run, and more! Please dress in warm clothes such as rain boots and gloves so you will be comfortable throughout the day.

Tomorrow, February 14th (Valentine’s Day), we will be selling heart shaped balloons at the center section of the cafeteria to help fundraise money for the American Heart Association! The American Heart Association is an organization dedicated in finding treatments for various cardiovascular diseases.
Come grab a balloon for your loved ones, crush, fellow peer, or yourself since you totally deserve it! 😉
The heart shaped balloons will be $1 and worth 5 points each. Max 10 pts!
